Solution Steps

1. Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in.
2. Click "Security" → "Advanced security options".
3. Under "Account security", click "Close my account".
4. Review the information and check all boxes.
5. Select a reason for closing.
6. Click "Next" and follow the prompts.
7. Your Microsoft account will be closed after a 60-day grace period.
