Solution Steps

1. QuickTime: Applications → QuickTime Player → File → New Screen Recording.
2. Click record button → Choose area or full screen.
3. Click red record button → Recording starts.
4. Click stop icon in menu bar to end recording.
5. Or use Cmd + Shift + 5 → Select "Record Entire Screen" or "Record Selected Portion".
6. Recordings save to desktop by default.
7. Use Cmd + Shift + 5 for more options (timer, microphone, etc.).
